Streaks, points, and progress that keep you learning AI

Coming soon to the App Store. We will email you the day it is ready.

A game step in the Unscary AI app: “Guess the next card.” A sequence of playing cards, ace of spades, two of hearts, three of clubs, is shown with a blank next card, and four options to pick from.

What the research says

“Results from random effects models showed significant small effects of gamification on cognitive (g = 0.49, 95% CI [0.30, 0.69], k = 19, N = 1686), motivational (g = 0.36, 95% CI [0.18, 0.54], k = 16, N = 2246), and beha”

“Daily ratings of the subjective automaticity of the behaviour (that is, habit strength) showed an asymptotic increase, with an initial acceleration that slowed to a plateau after an average of 66 days.”

A builder step in the Unscary AI app. The exercise reads “Now add the part that was missing,” showing a mock chat with a support-reply request and an empty Context slot, and a field below where the member writes the context to add.

Streaks and points that track real practice

Unscary makes progress visible and earns it honestly: points and streaks attach to hands-on reps, never to time spent watching. A meta-analysis of gamification studies found significant effects on knowledge, motivation, and behaviour, and habit research shows daily repetition is what makes practice automatic.

Progress you can point to

Each day you finish a short lesson and practice it for real. Your personal progress report keeps the evidence — skills practiced, streak intact, capability growing — a structure adapted from B43's in-person AI training for companies.

Motivation fades when progress is invisible

You start strong, then the course disappears from your week. Without visible progress there is nothing pulling you back — no streak to protect, no score to grow, no record of what you've gained. That is how learning tools lose habit-driven learners.

Start your streak the day Unscary launches.
