Why AI skill is invisible today

Ask a team who is good with AI and you get self-reports and guesses. Research backs up the blind spot: formal skills assessments are rare, and leaders rate readiness far higher than employees themselves do. Without a real measure, training budgets, staffing calls, and rollout plans all run on assumption.

Measure by doing, not by survey
